Jason Zheng began his property investment journey unexpectedly in 2015, becoming an accidental landlord when he bought his first buy-to-let (BTL) with no prior experience, only the belief that property was a good option. By the end of 2019, he had embarked on his professional journey in Houses in Multiple Occupation (HMO) investing. Today, with focused action and perseverance, Jason has built a property portfolio worth over £3.4 million.  

Starting from limited funds, Jason creatively financed his first HMO refurbishment using his extensive collection of credit cards, demonstrating the power of building a strong credit rating. This savvy approach, paired with disciplined financial management, allowed him to leverage money as a tool for growth.  

Jason actively applies the BRRR strategy (Buy, Refurb, Rent, and Refinance), effectively recycling his cash and building a profitable, high-cashflow HMO portfolio. Most of his projects are on track to achieve an infinite return, meaning they generate cash flow indefinitely without requiring additional capital—a concept Jason refers to as “free house” for life.

Through his example, Jason shows that even in an expensive market like London, high-cashflow property investing is possible with the right strategies and mindset.
